Many of us, both union members and agency fee payers, wonder what the difference is between the two.
The simplest way to describe the difference is that a union member has signed a union card indicating their wish to be a union member. This is required by law. An agency fee payer has never signed a union card and is not a full member of SEIU Local 99. Many agency fee payers are not even aware that they are not members, and
there is no difference in the rate of dues that they contribute to our union.
