Our political action is critical when it comes to $$$ for early ed
Our union contract is critical. It provides job security through such protections as respect for our seniority, no dismissal without just cause, progressive discipline, grievance representation, and other rights and protections.
But when it comes to State and Federal funding for Early Education, it’s when we flex our collective political muscle that we really make a difference. For example, we’ve made tremendous progress in Head Start funding because we worked so hard to elect a President who was committed to early education. Now it’s time to do the same thing in California. We have an opportunity to work together to elect a working families Governor—one who will make sure Sacramento builds upon what Washington is doing for early education, rather than tearing it down. Stay tuned for ways to get involved as we continue to work together to fight for education funding.
