Los Angeles Community College District Update

As the District prepares its budget for next school year, it is considering furloughs days. These would be negotiated with our Union before going to layoffs. Members in action, like the Board of Trustees meeting where over 40 members filled the meeting chambers, were part of last year’s efforts to fight back cuts. Members are again looking at these strategies, along with lobbying efforts, to ensure that Board members understand the impact of cuts on workers and students.
