Local 99 First Aid and CPR Classes

At no cost to Local 99 members...

Local 99 offers members First Aid and CPR classes designed to increase the safety of the children we work with. First Aid classes cover the basics of dealing with medical emergencies, such as stopping bleeds or helping a seizure victim. The CPR classes cover the steps for responding to life-threatening medical emergencies and also the laws relating to emergency response. Many classifications require certification, such as Special Education Assistants & Trainees, Health Care Assistants, Playground Workers, Bus Drivers, Teachers Assistants, and those assisting with after school programs. To keep your certification current, Local 99 also offers recertification courses for those who have already completed the training in previous years.

Save $5 on your Metro Pass!

You could qualify for discounts on weekly and monthly passes

Do you use public transportation? Depending on your income, you could qualify to save as much as $5 per month on your weekly or monthly Metro passes. Read the brochure to learn more about who qualifies. If you qualify, download and fill out the application, then bring the application, your ID, and your most recent paycheck stub to the Local 99 offices at 2724 W. 8th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90005.
