Our union has filed Unfair Labor Practice Charges against LAUSD for bargaining in bad faith over cuts to Special Education Assistant and Trainee work hours. See the full language of the charges below or here.

Despite the fact that we have been addressing the issue of Special Education staffing with LAUSD in our contract negotiations, last fall the District suddenly began to cut hours of Special Education Assistants. They didn’t negotiate with us about it. They just began to cut. We’ve raised the issue with them during contract negotiations but they’ve continued with unilateral cuts. This is bargaining in bad faith.

Enough is Enough!

Official charges have been filed with the State of CA Public Employment Relations Board. The District has been put on notice: bargain in good faith or we’re ready to take action!
