The vaccine has proven to be the most powerful protection against COVID-19 and the pathway to ensuring the health and safety of all students and staff. 

Our SEIU Local 99 bargaining team is concluding negotiations with the district to ensure that workers’ rights are protected as the vaccine requirement is implemented. The October 15 deadline to show proof of full vaccination (or approved exemption) has been modified to allow for employees without verifying vaccination or an approved exemption to test for COVID-19 twice a week and show proof of a negative test to continue in a paid status through December 31, 2021.
