Negotiations for our next full contract with LAUSD will kick-off on April 7. While our bargaining team will be negotiating directly with LAUSD administrators on wages, benefits and working conditions, we’re approaching negotiations a little differently this time. Members on our Labor Management Committees will play a vital role in negotiating with LAUSD Department heads on job-specific issues. The Labor Management Committees include members from all major departments in the district including, Special Education, Early Education, Food Services, Transportation (Bus Drivers, Mechanics, Procurement), ITD and Maintenance & Operations. By coordinating bargaining with the LMCs, more members will be able to take the lead on improving contract language that directly affects their work.
