Although Juneteenth is a day for a celebration, it is also a day to reflect and remember the struggles of generations of African-Americans now and then, in an America that tried to block their right to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” at every turn. It is in the spirit of rememberance and speaking truth to power that our very own SEIU Local 99 member, AFRAM leader, and child care provider, Tonia McMillian, wrote “America Needs Therapy.” Check out the video and happy Juneteenth!
