SEIU Local 99 Members at LUSD Vote On Our Tentative Contract Agreement

Last week our SEIU Local 99 Bargaining Team reached a tentative agreement with Lynwood Unified for our 2021-2024 contract. Members must vote on the agreement.

Here are some highlights of the agreement: 

Paid/Floating Holidays

  • Juneteenth and New Year’s Day added to contract
  • Two (2) personal leave days 

Wages and Salary:

  • 5% effective July 1, 2021.
  • Quarterly stipend of $300 for zero days absent, equaling a possibility of receiving $1,200 for the school year
  • Increases to longevity pay effective January 1, 2022.
  • Reopen negotiations for 2022-23 and 2023-24 to fight for more!


  • Those whose temporary assignment entitles them to shift differential pay shall receive such pay anytime working in that assignment

Vote in person on Wednesday, October 5, from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm at the following locations: 

  • Lynwood High School – Parent Center

    Location: 12124 Bullis Rd, Lynwood, CA 90262

  • Gymnasium at LHS

    Location: 4050 E Imperial Hwy, Lynwood, CA 90262

Voting Process: 

  • Only members of SEIU Local 99 at LUSD may vote. *If not yet a member, sign-up online HERE or fill out a membership application at the voting location.
  • All voters’ membership status will be verified before receiving a ballot.

Vote Count:

  • The final results will be posted on our website
