Last November, members voted and approved our 3-year contract with LACCD that includes wage increases based on regional market rates for the majority of members.

Several Local 99 members at LACCD are wondering about the district’s salary reallocation on their October 31, 2022 pay stubs. The agreement we reached in negotiations was that the wage increases will take effect at the beginning of the fiscal year, which was on July 1, 2021. The retro check that local 99 members previously received was only as of October 20, 2021. Members were still owed a retro payment for July 1, 2021, through October 19, 2021.

The “missing wages” payment you received on October 31, 2022, covers the retro payment from July 1, 2021, to October 19, 2021, which was due in order to meet the terms of our negotiated agreement. You have a right to this money. Feel free to spend it as you see fit.
