Get Ready For Contract Negotiations: Meet our Expanded Bargaining Team

Take the Bargaining Survey

As we prepare to negotiate a new contract at LACCD, we’re happy to announce that the bargaining team has been expanded to ensure there is representation from all colleges. Three new members were elected each to represent Pierce College, Valley College, and West LA College:

  • O’Neill Hooker, Pierce College
  • Adrian Sotelo, LA Valley College
  • Cecilia Kamande, West LA College

These three members join current bargaining team members who served during the pandemic helping negotiate for PPE supplies, hero hazard pay, and other issues. These bargaining team members will initiate negotiations for our full contract. As part of our union’s democratic process, their seats will be up for re-election in the fall.

  • Christzann Ozan, LA Southwest College
  • James Bradley, LA Southwest College
  • Keon Hamilton, LA Southwest College
  • Emiliano Paniagua, LA Trade Tech College
  • Shytovia Jernigan, East LA College
  • Irma Lopez, LA Mission College
  • Lawrence Shepherd, LA City College
  • Carlos Diaz, LA Harbor College

Our SEIU Local 99 bargaining team members are representing all members working at LACCD in negotiations with the college district. We congratulate their leadership.

Remember, a strong contract isn’t just won at the bargaining table. Our bargaining team needs everyone’s support. It takes action at our worksites to win good wages, benefits, job protections, and respect for our work.

The first step is to take the bargaining survey.

The bargaining survey helps our bargaining team set priorities for our upcoming contract negotiations.
