LAUSD Says Cut Backs, We Say Fight Back!

Join us as we take it to the streets!

Members at LAUSD are set to start contract negotiations with LAUSD on April 30. But the district is already making moves to try and stamp out our power and take back our 30% raise which we fought for and won.

Many Campus Aides, School Supervision Aides, Teacher Assistants, Instructional Aides, and others have been pressured to self-reduce their hours or have been informed that their hours will be cut starting next school year. While Superintendent Carvalho is publicly saying there are no layoffs, the fact is the reported cuts to hours could equal thousands of jobs lost. And there’s no telling who’s next.

To make matters worse, the district is hiring new employees at less than 4-hours to avoid paying for health care benefits.

Make no mistake. LAUSD is trying to roll-back the gains we made in our last contract.

They Say Cutbacks! We Say Fight Back!
