SEIU Local 99 Members Took Action: Secured Our Pay!

Members showed up to the special board meeting May 15th, 2024 to ensure our wins!

SEIU Local 99 members showed up in force at yesterday’s special board meeting May 15, 2024 to secure the approval of the tentative agreement. The vote by the board to ratify the tentative agreement negotiated by Local 99 bargaining team was pulled off the agenda last minute for the May 14, 2024 board meeting.

Through our collective efforts, we moved the board to hold a special board meeting May 15, 2024 to ensure the ratification of our new contract agreement with the district.

United, we won and approved the following gains. The school board voted to approve our tentative agreement!

  • A 6% on schedule wage increase retroactive to July 1, 2023.
  • $900 bonus payment for each full-time bargaining unit employee. Part-time employees will receive a prorated one-time off schedule payment based upon their full-time equivalency (FTE). For example, a 0.5 FTE, will receive $450.
  • Improved medical benefits at every tier. $3K will be provided for a two party and family medical plan. This is HUGE NEWS! For the first time ever, we have zeroed out member contributions for all single party members in this contract cycle.
