Contract Negotiations Progress with LAUSD

Bargaining team members provide strong proposals, Don't let up to Stop the Cuts! Sign-up to distribute leaflets at your worksite

SEIU Local 99 members on our bargaining team met with LAUSD on May 15 for our second negotiations session. Watch the recap video to learn more from our team.

We presented proposals addressing working conditions impacting Bus Drivers, Truck Drivers, & Speech Language Pathology Assistants. As we move forward in bargaining, we will continue to address issues in other job classifications, as well as issues impacting all members.

Let’s continue to stand united. We know winning a strong contract won’t be easy. The district has already signaled that they want to roll back the gains we’ve made. Before we even started negotiations, the district made unlawful cuts to the hours of Campus Aides, School Supervision Aides, Teacher Assistants, and others.

Take Action!
Leafletting – Let’s show the district that we’re ready to fight. Take action by distributing leaflets at your school or worksite to let parents know how cuts are impacting student services. We had a great rally with teachers at district headquarters on May 7. Next, we’re letting parents know how cuts will impact student services. Sign-up here.

The fight for our next contract is on. We’re ready.

When we fight, we win!
