SEIU Local 99 Members at The Accelerated Schools Continue to Fight for Wage Increases in Negotiations & More with school representatives!

Purple Up as we unite for a fair contract!

SEIU Local 99 members at The Accelerated Schools (TAS) continue to move negotiations forward. Let’s stand strong with our team to win a new contract that ensures fair wages, improved benefits, a safe working environment & improved staffing for better student services.

The bargaining team recently surveyed members where 80% of members who participated in the survey reported not receiving a bilingual pay differential. Members are also being asked to work outside of their assigned job classification and this will not stand!

A majority of SEIU Local 99 members at TAS also reported not receiving enough paid time-off benefits. These issues and more are being raised at the bargaining table. The bargaining team met with TAS representatives  on  May 31st and June 3. 

There Is Strength In Participation! Let’s Take Action To Win!

Our next bargaining session is scheduled for June 13th & 18th, 2024. A strong contract is not just won at the bargaining table. Let’s stand strong with our team. Take Action by taking these steps to win:

✅ Support our bargaining team by purpling up tomorrow Wednesday, June 5th, 2024.

✅ Host “purple-up” days. Wear your SEIU Local 99 T-Shirt or any purple shirt on Tuesdays at your worksite.

✅Post photos on your social media tagging @seiu99 and @theacceleratedschools using the hashtags #FairContractNow, #PayUsRespectUs, #BiliginualPayforbilginualservice and #TAS.
