SEIU Local 99 Members Receive Payout on Grievance Filed with Compton Unified School District (CUSD)!

Compton Unified School District (CUSD) Pays Supervising Differential.

SEIU Local 99 members at Compton Unified enforced our contract with the District to ensure a 1% Supervising Differential and we won! On July 2nd, 2024, members began receiving their differential payouts. Our win ensures that members currently employed by CUSD will receive $1,400 per year for years of service between the 2017-18 and 2022-23 school years.

It all started because CUSD was violating our contract by not paying the required 1% salary difference between supervisors and the employees being supervised.  Members fought back, filed a grievance, and stood strong to reach a fair agreement. Read the language of the agreement HERE.

It pays to know your contract. Members with automatic bank deposits should see the differential reflected in this week’s paycheck. Members receiving paper checks can pick up their checks at the CUSD District Office.
