🔥🚨Breaking News! – SEIU Local 99 members at LACCD Vote Overwhelmingly “YES” to Approve Tentative Agreement!

Next Steps: Expect Pay Increases expected no later than Next Month!

SEIU Local 99 members at LACCD from all 9 campuses and the District office voted overwhelmingly “YES” to approve a tentative agreement for the 2023-2026 contract that includes wage increases, improvements to working conditions, & more!

Members voted in person throughout the day and the SEIU Local 99 Negotiations team at LACCD counted all the ballots until the late hours of Wednesday, July 3rd, at the SEIU Local 99 Office.  

The contract comes after members took strong action to make their demands known, including  speaking up at several board of trustee meetings. 

Next Steps

The LACCD Board of Trustees is expected to vote on the agreement at their July 10th  Board Meeting. After their vote, we’ll urge the district to secure the payout of wage increases and retroactive pay as soon as possible. Stay tuned for more updates.

Here are highlights of the agreement:

✅Year 1 – 2023-2024: 10.22% wage increase retroactive to July 1, 2023

✅ Year 2 – 2024-2025: Increase of 2.07% retroactive to July 1, 2024

✅ Year 3 – 2025-2026: Increase of 1% wage plus the Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) that will be calculated by the state of California for 2025-2026.

✅Increases to semi-monthly Career Differentials as follows: 5 to 9 years increased from $7.78 to $16.85; 10 to 14 years increased from $22.68 to $37.44; 15 to 19 years increased from $47.93 to $59.44; 20 years and over increased from $81.64 to $100.75 retroactive to July 1, 2023.

✅Increased tuition reimbursement from $2,000 to $4,000

✅Increased amount for safety boots/shoes from $160 to $300 that can also be used to repair safety shoes and boots.

✅ 2024-2025: Vacation cashout incentive for up to 80 hours for employees with more than 360 vacation hours.

✅ Every year after 2024-2025 members who have accumulated more than 360 hours of vacation time, must be denied vacation request for 80 hours & cashout up to 80 hours to qualify

✅Quarterly perfect attendance incentive of $184
