Update for SEIU Local 99 Members at Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF)

Update for SEIU Local 99 Members at Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF)

We are thrilled to announce that, as a result of the hard work and dedication of SEIU Local 99 members, the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) has secured additional funding for early childhood education centers. This funding will provide a 2.35% Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) for all employees under the LACOE Program and the Direct Grant, with salary parity adjustments for certain positions under these programs.

Please note: This COLA and salary parity adjustment does not apply to employees under the CCPS, VOA, or USDA Programs.

Key Details:

  • LACOE COLA: Retroactive to July 1, 2024.
  • Direct Grant COLA: Retroactive to September 1, 2024.
  • The wage adjustments will be processed and distributed no later than the February 23, 2025 pay date.
  • These increases apply to both active employees and those on an approved leave of absence.

This increase is a direct result of our collective efforts and advocacy. It’s a testament to the power of standing together as a union and ensuring that our voices are heard at every level.

We are proud to see the positive changes for our members and will continue to fight for fair wages and working conditions. Stay tuned for more updates, and thank you for your ongoing solidarity!
