As a dedicated early education worker, you’re on the front lines teaching and caring for our youngest learners every day. SEIU Local 99 members at Options now have the opportunity to improve working conditions, wages, and other workplace issues through our upcoming contract negotiations.

Help shape the priorities for improving working conditions by completing a bargaining survey. Your input will help the Bargaining Team identify key issues to focus on during negotiations.

Be a Part of the Bargaining Team

Roles & Responsibilities:

Meet outside work hours at times convenient for the team.
Prepare proposals and advocate for improvements.
Negotiate directly with Options administrators.
Work toward a “tentative agreement” to be voted on by members in good standing.
Sign the agreement after ratification.

Requirements:

Be an SEIU Local 99 member in good standing.
Nominate yourself or a colleague (they must accept the nomination).

Join the Contract Action Team (CAT)

CAT members are at the forefront of leveraging our collective power during negotiations. As part of the team, you will:

Communicate updates to co-workers about negotiations.
Lead and mobilize actions to demonstrate union strength if needed.

Requirements for CAT Members:

Be a Union Member.
Be a good communicator and available for meetings (including evenings or weekends).
Mobilize co-workers and engage in building union strength.
