Next Steps:
Our bargaining team recognizes this as a tentative agreement on wages, hours and other economic issues. LAUSD may be characterizing it as an agreement “in principle” because we are continuing to meet with the district to finalize language on non-economic issues, such as how we structure the no-subcontracting provision in the agreement and other operational items. Additionally, our team continues in bargaining with the district regarding layoffs of workers who are not in the IT department.
As with all tentative contract agreements, members will have the final say and vote to ratify it. When members ratify, or approve, the agreement, we will discuss with the district the roll-out of retroactive pay. Stay tuned for more details.
