SEIU Local 99 Wins Agreement and Secures Wage Increases at Options for Learning

This bargaining agreement revamps the majority of the preexisting contract in favor of workers (worker friendly) at Options for Learning. The new contract establishes a formal grievance process that will help protect workers from contract violations . It also grants full access to worksites to union representatives and stewards, enabling workers to continue to strengthen their union and collective power. This creates an empowered position for SEIU Local 99 members to continue the fight to win more.

This three-year contract secures wage increases for Options’ employees as follows:

Year 1: 4% increase plus a stipend of 5% retroactive bonuses
Year 2: guaranteed cost-of-living increase for an average of 2.5%
Year 3: guaranteed cost-of-living increase for an average of 2.5%

Cumulatively, this proposal secures an estimated average of 14% total increase to wages across the three years.
