Support & Resources for Members Impacted by LAUSD Layoffs

Support & Resources for Members Impacted by LAUSD Layoffs

The District’s decision to eliminate jobs has created uncertainty and hardship for many SEIU Local 99 members and their families. We know this has impacted our entire union community, and our fight to hold LAUSD accountable continues.

If you received a layoff notice, we want you to know you are not alone. While SEIU Local 99 continues to fight on your behalf through bargaining and legal action, we also want to make sure you have access to resources that can help right now.

We’re organizing a full service One Stop Resource Fair exclusively for members who have been laid off. The event will bring together workforce, government, and community partners to connect members with services and answer questions about the resources available to them.

At the resource fair, members will be able to access:

  • Employment & Workforce Development Services to explore job opportunities, retraining programs, apprenticeship pathways, and career placement assistance.
  • Unemployment & Healthcare Assistance with specialists available to help you apply for unemployment benefits and explore healthcare options, including Covered California.
  • Financial & Family Support Resources including information on food assistance, utility assistance, emergency financial resources, education opportunities, and other community services.
  • Labor Community Services providing additional support available to union members and their families.

Date, time, and location are still being finalized.

If you received a layoff notice and are interested in attending, sign up today and we’ll contact you as soon as event details are confirmed.
