Family Child Care Providers Nominated to Be Part of Contract Negotiations Team

The following members were nominated by providers to be part of the negotiations team that will negotiate child care providers’ first contract with the state of California. There will be a total of 30 providers on the statewide negotiations team. Ten SEIU Local 99/CCPU member providers will be elected from their regions in Southern California and one will provider will be elected for an at-large seat. This summer, family child care providers in California won their union with a historic 97% of the vote! Now, they’re preparing to sit down with state representatives and negotiate their first union contract. The first step is to elect the negotiations team.
