Members on our SEIU Local 99 bargaining team at LACCD met to strategize on February 9 as they finalize the contract proposals that will be presented to the district. As previously reported, members identified low wages and understaffing as two of the key priorities to address in our next contract. All SEIU Local 99 members at LACCD perform essential work that helps our students learn in a clean, safe, and supportive environment. No one should be earning below a living wage salary!
Election Results for SEIU Local 99 Members at Los Angeles Community College District for Bargaining Team & LMC
Members were elected to these teams after a rigorous nomination process that included collecting signatures from members in their job category. Eligible candidates in contested races were then part of an election. Please note that a run-off election is needed at LA City College for both the bargaining team and LMC races. Run-off elections will begin starting tomorrow November 28th, 2023 at 7AM. The election runs through Monday, December 4th, 2023 at 5PM.

Several Local 99 members at LACCD are wondering about the district's salary reallocation on their October 31, 2022 pay stubs. The agreement we reached in negotiations was that the wage increases will take effect at the beginning of the fiscal year which was on July 1, 2021.
