Hero Pay at LAUSD Increases to $5/hour recognizing the essential work of SEIU Local 99 members

Agreement Reached with LAUSD for Distance Learning in New School Year Hero pay plus No layoffs, furloughs or reductions in hours secured in new agreement

After days of bargaining, we have reached an agreement with LAUSD on distance learning, safety and other issues impacting our return to school for the 2020-21 school year. This agreement is in effect until December 31, 2020 or until students return to in-person classes or a hybrid model.
