The SEIU Local 99 Executive Board held an open meeting on June 6. Member officers and leaders gave updates on gains we've made to address worksite issues during the COVID-19 shutdown and presented our union's principles for re-opening schools. We also heard from Child Care Providers who are on the verge of a historic election to secure the right to negotiate a contract. And we began a dialogue on addressing the systemic racism that is at the core of so much injustice and pain in our communities.
