Participation in the [email protected] Program is a no-cost benefit for SEIU Local 99 members and anyone they refer. It is made possible through a grant from the Air Resources Board and in partnership with Grid Alternatives, the Liberty Hill Foundation, Greenlining Institute and others.

Based on your income, you can qualify for a grant of up to $9,500 towards the purchase of an electric vehicle or hybrid. Participants also may qualify for a charger at no cost or receive a substantial rebate.
The program has a state-funded fair financing option that is accessible and part of the equity program.
The program offers participants the opportunity to qualify for shared transportation incentives for public transit, bike shares, car shares, van pools, and rideshare such as Lyft or Uber.
No. [email protected] participants can find out if they are eligible for energy assistance programs and bill savings from organizations such as Southern CA Edison, LA Department of Water and Power, and Southern CA Gas.
No. Homeowners and renters are eligible to apply for most of the programs.
No. The only exception is LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program). This is the only program that requires “any person” in the household to have a Social Security number.
Yes. Eligibility for the programs is based on the gross annual income as noted on your tax returns. Child care providers will need to share their adjusted gross income as per their tax returns.
The process usually takes about 45 minutes depending on the information shared by the participant.
You will speak with a Program Support Organizer, who is also a staff member of SEIU Local 99. They signs you up for the program and connect you to the organizations offering the resources and savings. The Organizer is also the “go to” person who is available to help you if you need assistance after receiving your list of eligible programs which you qualified for.
Absolutely! Our goal is reach as many Local 99 members as possible. It is our intent to ensure that all the resources and cost savings are available to every Local 99 member. Friends and family can also apply.
