Organizer for LAUSD Transportation and Compton Unified School District
I am the Internal Organizer for Bus Drivers, Truck Drivers and Auto Mechanics in the LAUSD Transportation Division. I am also the organizer for the classified managers of Compton Unified School District.
I was employed as a campus security officer for Compton Unified for a decade and was given the opportunity of becoming an organizer for SEIU Local 99. My years of work experience allows me to relate to members with their concerns and issues at work sites. My goal is to build better relationship with members.
As an organizer it’s satisfying knowing that I am able to help a member in need and am able to help create a better working environment at schools and work sites.
I am also a father of two. I have a son, Branden, and daughter, August Riley. I enjoy family time and barbecuing with friends.

Open Enrollment for Health Care Benefits Closes Sunday, November 19, 2023
Open enrollment is the one time during the year that you can make healthcare plan changes for you and your family at LAUSD. These changes will be effective January 1, 2024. The open enrollment period ends this Sunday, November 19th, 2023. Our recent contract expanded fully paid health benefits to eligible Teacher Assistants, Afterschool Program Workers, Supervision Aides and others.
SEIU Local 99 Members at LAUSD Vote “Yes” on Health Benefits Agreement!
A resounding 97% of SEIU Local 99 members voted "Yes" to ratify our new health care benefits agreement. A tentative agreement on health care benefits was reached with LAUSD on October 5. Our bargaining team was able to push-back on some of the district’s most outrageous proposals. We stood strong and maintained our current benefits without cuts or changes.
