Elizabeth Hernandez
Organizer for East LAUSD and Mexican American Opportunity Foundation
Hello, my name is Elizabeth G. Hernandez. I worked for LAUSD from 2009–2022. I have always helped my coworkers voice their concerns. What gives me the most satisfaction organizing is empowering members to voice their concerns. My goal as an organizer is to help as many employees as possible. I want to make sure that they are well represented and feel safe standing up for their rights. I want to make sure they are treated fairly and paid what they deserve. Without the right education our children will not have the basic skills to join the work force. Supporting staff is a vital part of our children’s education. I have been married since 2000. I have four adult children, one grandson and two dogs. I like to spend my free time with my family.
