After months of contract negotiations, LAUSD continues to stall on offering us real wage increases that truly value our work. They’ve also shown no movement on increasing work hours, preferring to relegate our work to part-time status while students need full-time services. And they’re failing to truly address the disrespect and harassment many of us face on the job. Some workers have even faced retaliation for speaking out to their co-workers about their rights.

SEIU Local 99 has filed unfair practice charges. Many workers are leading picket lines and purpling-up at schools and worksites to demand respect. We must continue to keep-up the pressure.
