A resounding 97% of SEIU Local 99 members voted "Yes" to ratify our new health care benefits agreement. A tentative agreement on health care benefits was reached with LAUSD on October 5. Our bargaining team was able to push-back on some of the district’s most outrageous proposals. We stood strong and maintained our current benefits without cuts or changes.

Be a part of SEIU Local 99’s Labor Management Committees at Santa Monica Malibu Unified: Nominations Extended to Oct. 27, 2023

The Labor Management Committees (LMCs) are made-up of members who meet regularly with SMMUSD managers and administrators to find solutions to worksite problems, improve working conditions, and improve the student services we provide. Members of the team receive training, receive union leave from work, and are paid their regular wages during times when they must miss work in order to participate in Labor Management Committee meetings.
